Open Registration for Fall Programs Going on Now

The Glenview Park District Fall 2008 Guide was mailed to residents' homes on Saturday, July 26. The Guide contains information on all park district facilities and programs for the Fall 2008 session. Open registration for nonresidents and residents who missed the lottery deadline is now going on at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. For more information on our registration process, click here.

Don't let your child miss out on Flag Football and Volleyball action this fall. The Glenview Park District offers Co-ed Flag Football for grades 3-6 and Co-ed Volleyball for grades 5-8. For programs details, click here. Register online or at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave.

NEW PROGRAM!

Learn how to manage your money so you'll have more of it now and in the future! Money Masters is a 10-week personal finance program that teaches middle schoolers about checking and savings accounts, debit and credit cards, making a budget and investing in stocks and bonds through games and role playing activities! Two locations to choose from:

Springman Middle School Attea Middle School
Mondays, 3:15-4:15 pm, 9/8-11/10 Wednesdays, 3:15-4:15 pm, 9/10-11/12

Register for either program online or at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. $130 (R)/$162.50 (NR). Use activity number 101240.

Auditions for boys and girls in grades 4-7 who wish to be a part of the next Glenview Children's Theatre production, The Big Bad Musical, will take place at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. on the following dates:

Tues., Sept. 9, 4:15-6:15 pm and
Wed., Sept. 10, 4:15-6:15 pm

Children will participate in an acting and singing audition. For details on the show, rehearsals, show dates, etc., click here.

Saturday, September 13, 4-8 pm

Live Music begins at 5 pm

Pack up a picnic supper and bring the whole family over to the farm for a memorable time. We'll have wagon rides, live music, a square dance caller to guide you through some "reels" and all the fixin's for delicious ice cream sundaes. Admission $6 per person (children under 2, free).
