Open Registration for Fall Programs Begin Sept. 3
The Glenview Park District Fall 2008 Guide was mailed to residents' homes on Saturday, July 26. The Guide contains information on all park district facilities and programs for the Fall 2008 session. Open registration for nonresidents and residents who missed the lottery deadline will begin on Wed., Sept. 3 at 9 am at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. For more information on our registration process, click here.

Co-ed Youth Flag Football & Volleyball Deadlines Approaching Fast!

Middle School Money Masters
Learn how to manage your money so you'll have more of it now and in the future! Money Masters is a 10-week personal finance program that teaches middle schoolers about checking and savings accounts, debit and credit cards, making a budget and investing in stocks and bonds through games and role playing activities! Two locations to choose from:

Mondays, 3:15-4:15 pm, 9/8-11/10 Wednesdays, 3:15-4:15 pm, 9/10-11/12

Used Sports Equipment Drive
August 18-31
Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Drive
A drive to collect new or gently used sports equipment will take place August 18-31 at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. The equipment will be donated to Glenview Northbrook Youth Services; surplus will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago. Most needed: basketballs, footballs, baseballs and mitts, soccer balls, ping pong balls and paddles, ball pumps, and soccer cleats, shin guards and uniforms that no longer fit you.
Large containers will be placed in the Park Center lobby for quick drop off. The lobby is open M-Th 5 am-10 pm, F 5 am-8 pm and Sa-Su 7 am-4 pm.
Roosevelt Pool Open Limited Hours Through Labor Day
Flick Pool Closed for Season
The Glenview Park District Outdoor Pools have closed for the regular outdoor swimming season but Roosevelt Pool will remain open for limited weekend hours through Labor Day as follows:
Fri., Aug. 29 – 4:30 pm-9 pm
Sat., Aug. 30 – 11:30 am-9 pm
Sun., Aug. 31 – 11: 30 am-9 pm
Mon., Sept. 1 - 11:30 am-5 pm

Park Center Health & Fitness Closed for Annual Maintenance
Monday, August 25 - Friday, August 29
The Fitness Center and Track will be closed this week for annual cleaning and to replace old equipment with new VR3 CYBEX selectorized equipment. The Fitness Center and Track will reopen for regular hours on August 30 and be open from 7 am-1 pm on Monday, September 1 (Labor Day).
