A Message from the Independence Day Celebration Commission
On behalf of Glenview’s Independence Day Celebration Commission, I would like to thank the residents and businesses of Glenview for helping to make this 4th of July one of the best ever. We have heard many people tell us that they truly enjoyed the parade and fireworks. It was great to discover all the wonderful Hometown Heroes we have in our community who help to make Glenview such a special town. It appears that our redline "Safeside" campaign to help keep children safe along the parade route worked out well. We’d also like to thank the Park District staff, Village Police and Fire Departments for their support and hard work to make our festivities a safe and fun event.
This wonderful day would not be possible without the generous donations from Glenview families and businesses. Thank you for your support. If you still would like to make a donation you can click here to make a donation online or send one to the IDCC (Independence Day Celebration Commission), Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Avenue Suite P., Glenview, IL 60026.
See you next year on July 4!
Kay Laurie
2008 IDCC Chairperson
